WomenSpirit Robes
- WomenSpirit was born in 1995 when Patty Fitzpatrick discovered there were no vestment options for female clergy, women bought and altered men’s robes. Working from the third floor of her home she began designing robes styled for women. Patty hand drafted robe patterns, selected beautiful fabrics, and stitched every detail until she was satisfied. Out of her vision, passion and drive she bore a business that changed the world for women of faith.
- As WomenSpirit following grew, so did the need for more space and help sewing her sought after vestments. Patty’s pioneering impact was felt locally in Kansas City, nationally, and internationally. WomenSpirit became the go-to source for custom women’s clergy wear. In 2009, after years of men requesting the same quality robes, the Abiding Spirit - vestments for men brand became available.
- In 2019, these two great apparel lines became one under the name Sacred Stitches.
WomenSpirit began as a mission to pioneer clergy robes and vestments for women. Over 25 years later we continue to serve women clergy members by providing a full collection of albs, cassocks, clergy shirts, chasubles and stoles! Each garment is handmade to order with great care and attention to detail by our all female staff in North Kansas City, Missouri. We strive for every woman to feel confident and comfortable in their clergy apparel and vestments.
